From your point of view, what differentiates odelo from other employers?

Personally I very much value the team spirit between colleagues, as well as the possibility to work in a team, especially during the realization of light projects or something similar. The structures are founded to make a brilliant atmosphere in the team so that we only succeed as a team, together.

What is one of your typical tasks at odelo?

I purchase the injection molding tools for the odelo plants and from external suppliers around the world. Here I have a lot of international contact to customers and suppliers which I really appreciate. All in all, it is really versatile and varying.

Which advice would you give to a new employee on his/her first day at work?

I would tell the person to ask whenever he or she is not sure about something. It is totally normal as a new employee to be unsure about a lot of things and to not know the procedures. Especially because we are a very experienced team and the tasks vary a lot and are very extensive, it is totally understandable. Therefore, just ask, we won’t bite (laughter).

What are you especially proud of in your life?

Definitely my family. My wife and my two children.

What interests do you have outside of work?

I am a very active and curious person, so I love to discover new things and to master challenges. In winter I am a very passionate skier and when it’s warmer I love to travel, especially to countries where there is a possibility to go scuba diving, for example the Maldives, the Caribbean or Egypt.

What else would you like to see/experience in your life?

What really excites me is the so called heliskiing - you are set down on top of a mountain and in front of you there is a wide slope with soft untouched snow. That has to be an unbelievable feeling which I really want to experience! Also, I am a passionate diver and I was very lucky to see a whale shark once. I was really scared but exhilarated for a second when I saw it (laughter). It is such a fascinating animal, and I would love to get close to one again.
