In March the odelo group hosted the 5th World Class Manufacturing Conference in collaboration with various partners. More than 100 participants attended and dis-cussed a successful lean management through all processes.
At the beginning of the year everything has been ready: The odelo GmbH moved and changed its location from Schwaikheim to Stuttgart- Hedelfingen. Part of the new Sales & Engineering Centre at the automotive metropole are now the departments Development, Marketing, Project Management, Process Planning and the Administration.
At Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of Ljubljana students organized the 8th Days of industrial robotics. During these event students implement with its own ideas and under the supervision of the Prof. dr. Marko Munih the whole project from beginning to end and then present it to public.
Company odelo and its partners have this year again successfully organized 4th »World Class Manufacturing« Conference which was attended by about 100 guests from different companies and field of work (directors, managers, heads of production, quality managers, technologists, etc.).
Five organizations which were audited by 36-evaluators from the commission applied on public tender for the Slovenian EFQM award for the year 2013, among which odelo Slovenija d.o.o. became a finalist and also a winner of this prestigious award. The award ceremony was held on Brdo pri Kranju, the 12th of March 2014.
In January 2014 we were honoured to host three distinguished ladies, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Alenka Bratušek, the Ambassadress of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Anne Elisabeth Prinz and the Ambassadress of the Republic of Turkey Serra Kaleli who visited our company odelo Slovenija. During the visit they also met with Mr. Ahmet Bayraktar, CEO and Managing Partner and Mr. Klaus Holeczek, CEO of the odelo group.
The Slovene subsidiary of the odelo Group, odelo Slovenija d.o.o., has received the prestigious Automotive Lean Production Award in the category "International SME". Klaus Holeczek, Chief Executive Officer of the odelo group: "This award is the result of an ongoing implementation of Lean concept in the Slovene plant."
The odelo Group, a leading maker of tail lights and signal lights for the automotive industry, will be leasing the building and grounds at its Schwaikheim headquarters from a new landlord. Today the former owner of the plant site, Visiocorp Plc., located in Portchester, England, announced it had sold the property to Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG, an internationally leading maker of cleaning equipment, headquartered in Winnenden, Germany. odelo GmbH will still occupy the land and a portion of the buildings under long-term leases, and will continue to conduct the odelo Group’s management, technology and development operations from the Schwaikheim site.
Schefenacker Vision Systems Germany GmbH, a leading manufacturer of automotive signal lights, has completed its change of name and from today on trades under the name of odelo GmbH. In the context of its restructuring and refocusing, the company, headquartered in Schwaikheim (Germany) and with subsidiaries in Baden-Wurttemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and in Slovenia, reveals its new Corporate Identity.
