From your point of view, what differentiates odelo from other employers?

I’ve have experienced that a lot of trust is placed in odelo employees and individual responsibility is therefore supported, which is not to be taken for granted. This responsibility for yourself only works in a team at odelo: Everyone pulls together to be successful. Naturally, this requires a high commitment from people like me, who are very ambitious and have very high career advancement opportunities at odelo with its flat hierarchies.

What is one of your typical tasks at odelo?

I am mainly responsible for the project acquisition of the sales – easier said: I get new projects for odelo and take care of the economic activities in the right way. In addition, I am the person in charge of all commercial and technical issues for our customers. In this regard, I find myself in a mediating role as I am in between the customers’ wishes and the company’s goals. All in all, it is a very diverse job and everyday contains its own surprises.

Which advice would you give to a new employee on his/her first day at work?

I would tell him/her to always try to go his/her own way. You do not have to fit in to be successful. odelo gives every employee all the necessary framework to develop oneself and therefore the best thing to do is to trust in your own judgement of the situation.

What are you especially proud of in your life?

I am very proud of my A-levels and my studies which is the basis for this very good job, which is now giving me the chance to travel in my free time.

What interests do you have outside of work?

I love to travel! There is no country I do not want to travel to see and experience. I believe that when you are far away you are really finding yourself again. Additionally, I am a big sports fan: two to three times a week I play handball and I spend most weekends with my friends on game days. My interests go further than that: Soccer and Basketball are two of my favourite sports as well. I guess one could conclude that my interests are travelling and sports.

What else would you like to see/experience in your life?

In my life I was able to fulfil a lot of my dreams and I am very thankful for that as I know I should not take it for granted. That is the reason why I would like to stay modest and just take things as they come. Let’s see what the future might bring.
