From your point of view, what differentiates odelo from other employers?
odelo is a medium-sized company, which has a good reputation within the automotive industry in the area of tail lights. In spite of its importance and significant market share in the German premium segment and the countless projects, the company has an extremely lean hierarchy. This has many advantages to help speed up the decision making process and to act/react quickly in critical situations.
What is one of your typical tasks at odelo?
As a Requirements Engineer I am responsible for the development of the requirements management process. This means coordinating a lot with different colleagues. I regularly get new insights into the working methods and other colleagues’ areas. In addition to process development, I am also responsible for rolling out a requirements management tool in our company. I take care of setting up and maintaining the system, the administration of the users and the training of the employees so that they can implement the tool and the process behind it.
Which advice would you give to a new employee on his/her first day at work?
Be open to new ideas and do not hesitate to ask questions when things are unclear. The colleagues here in the company are extremely competent, friendly and happy to help you wherever they can.
What are you especially proud of in your life?
I am proud to have successfully completed my studies and for my first job I found such a great employer in the Stuttgart area where I enjoy a lot of freedom but also have duties to perform.
What are you especially proud of in your life?
I go running and have been taking part in half-marathons at least once a year for several years now. I don't like jogging so much, but it's good for general fitness. I also have a passion for badminton. I have had a racket in my hand since I was 6 years old. In the coming season I will play for a top league team (4th league) in the Stuttgart area. In addition to sporting interests, I like to follow developments in the field of technology. Whether cars, Smartphones or Smart Home, I like to constantly inform myself about the new things, especially cars and working on my own Mercedes in my spare time is a lot of fun.
What else would you like to see/experience in your life?
USA, Asia and Africa are still on my list of holidays and places to experience. Discover wild animals in the wild, experience the Las Vegas Casinos in the USA or completely different cultures in Asia.
