The working group AKJ Automotive (www.akjnet.de) granted the award on the occasion of his 31st yearly Congress with the slogan "Global - agile - reliable / the automotive value chain" on 6th April 2016.
The jury noted in her explanation, that odelo has implemented for its factory in Slovenia a material supply concept that is firmly committed to pull systematics with e-Kanban - including the benefits of a web-based material monitoring for all partners involved. It is particularly positive to note that odelo was able to implement the consumption-based pull principle in very different supplier relationships: for local deliveries from Slovenia with the Milkrun, for EU suppliers Cross Docks but also for global supply relationships that require a customs warehouse on site. odelo follows by the new organization of the material control the overall goal of digitalisation of material flow externally and internally. In addition, to ensure traceability the factory in Slovenia began using RFID technology – and now they continue with further plans to automate the flow of materials in the factory.
